A beautiful 18ct gold entwined double snake ring, dating 1894. The snakes heads are set with an old cut diamond and a natural Sapphire, their body coiled and complete with entwined tails. Symbolising eternal love, renewal and protection, the snake ring became an iconic piece of jewellery when it was gifted to Queen Victoria by Prince Albert as an engagement ring. This ring is in good condition with a lovely buttery gold patina. Stamped with British hallmarks. Looks fabulous on the hand and easy to wear, a statement piece.
