A late Victorian, 18ct yellow gold, belt buckle ring, beautifully engraved with a floral motif running through the entire band. Buckles were a popular design in the Victorian era and symbolise eternal love, fidelity and a strong unbreakable bond. The vines of Ivy engravings were also a symbol for fidelity. Hallmarked for Chester 1898. This ring is in very good condition with a lovely old patina. It sits very elegantly on the hand and looks great as a pinky ring too.
